COLD: Video Footage From The Studio Posted Online

July 28, 2009

The reunited COLD has entered the studio to begin recording its fifth album for a late 2009 release via SonicStar Records. Watch video footage from the recording sessions below.

SonicStar Records is the new independent entertainment company formed by principals Scooter Ward (COLD frontman) and Toby McDonald. SonicStar recently signed an exclusive distribution deal with Fontana, the independent distribution arm of Universal Music Group, the world's leading music company.

COLD's debut album was released in 1998 and deemed "nu-metal." The band went on to amass a huge underground following for its brand of emotionally driven, alternative rock. COLD's next two albums, "13 Ways to Bleed on Stage" and "Year of the Spider" both went gold. Their fourth album also won acclaim, spawning the hit single "A Different Kind of Pain".

COLD has sold over 1.5 million albums worldwide.

When the band went on hiatus in 2006, Ward formed THE KILLER AND THE STAR, teaming with music industry friends to establish his own record label, SonicStar, which released THE KILLER AND THE STAR's first album earlier this month

Scooter Ward was interviewed by Alternative Addiction on May 5, 2009. The chat is available for streaming at this location.
